What is the "Never stop!"<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Our motto is \u201cWalk with us! Walk with us! "<\/em>, understood not only in a literal sense but above all as a philosophy of sharing part of one's time. Those who participate in our activities know that the concept of a group is fundamental: we start together and arrive together, each with their own strengths and limitations.<\/span><\/p>\n

We believe it is our duty to commit ourselves so that each person is enabled to freely decide whether or not to participate in our activity.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our thoughts went above all to people with disabilities, as no psycho-physical condition should be a reason for giving up getting involved. Barriers must be removed but this is not always possible. In this case we like to try to overcome them, with humility but stubbornly.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sometimes a little ingenuity, patience and good will is enough to overcome an obstacle, for this reason we have decided to equip ourselves with health aids that allow anyone, even with disabilities, to try to participate in one of our activities. <\/span><\/p>\n

We called our project \u201cNever Stop!\u201d.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

The project has received the patronage of many public and private entities such as: Tuscany Region, Metropolitan City of Florence, Union of Municipalities of the Empolese Valdelsa District, Municipality of Capraia and Limite, Castelfiorentino, Certaldo, Gambassi Terme, Montaione, Montespertoli, San Gimignano, European Association of the Vie Francigene - network of the Council of Europe, Tuscan Association of the Vie Francigene and Paths, Via Romea Germanica Association, European Federation of Historical Cultural Tourist Routes, Association of European Environmental Guides, UISP - Empolese Valdelsa Committee, Ass Without Barriers Onlus.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the beginning of 2019 we bought the "Jo\u00eblette", our first off-road wheelchair with a single wheel.<\/span><\/p>\n

The wheelchair was presented to the Tuscan Regional Council on February 28, 2019, in the presence of some local administrators.<\/span><\/p>\n

In September 2019 we also purchased the \u201cKit Twin\u201d, an optional that offers the possibility of alternating the single wheel with the double wheel, to make the wheelchair more stable and easier to drive.<\/span><\/p>\n

In February 2020 we purchased a tandem to give people with disabilities a further chance to approach outdoor sports activities.<\/span><\/p>\n

In February 2022 we purchased a "Jo\u00eblette Kid", an off-road wheelchair dedicated to children under 25 kg, with motor disabilities, for hiking, trekking or running on any type of terrain, even the most rugged ones.<\/span><\/p>\n

In December 2022 we purchased a trekking cart (\u201cWheelie V Cargo walking trailer braked\u201d) to allow even people with difficulty carrying a backpack to be able to participate in our activities, especially multi-day walks.<\/span><\/p>\n

In March 2023 we bought our second classic "Jo\u00eblette" with a single wheel, convinced that: "With one we give a signal, with two we give a service".<\/span><\/p>\n

In July 2023 we bought our third adult wheelchair, the brand new \u201cJo\u00eblette Adventure\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

In October 2023, some members formed a group, within the same association, to carry out our projects on disability more efficiently. The name chosen was \u201cTHE Ability\u201d, formed by the acronym of our association, \u201cTHE\u201d, \u201cthe\u201d, and the English word \u201cAbility\u201d, \u201cAbilit\u00e0\u201d, to highlight the abilities that each of us has and that we often forget to value, focusing only on disability.<\/span><\/p>\n

In December 2023 we purchased a semi-automatic defibrillator, resistant to shock, vibration, dust and water infiltration (IP56), to make our activities even safer.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

On May 4, 2024 we received the \u201cIn Service to the Lesser Known\u201d Award<\/strong>, a biennial humanitarian initiative of the Certaldo Lions Club, dedicated to rewarding people who distinguish themselves through acts of great solidarity and social commitment.<\/span><\/p>\n

A prestigious recognition for the work done, but above all an incentive to do even more.<\/span><\/p>\n

On November 7, 2025, the municipality of Castelfiorentino received the \u201cFrancigena Best Practice 2024\u201d award<\/strong>, promoted by the European Association of Vie Francigene, within which an international evaluation group has selected the three best "good practices" implemented by the members for the development and promotion of the itinerary.
\nHe won the prestigious award with his project "Racconti in cammino," based on inclusion, accessibility, and theatrical storytelling.
\nThis project was conceived and implemented by us in collaboration with the TeatroCastello APS association of Castelfiorentino. Its goal is to make the trail easier for people with disabilities, including those with motor disabilities, to use through a guided excursion accompanied by theatrical entertainment.
\nA project that takes place every year during the first weekend of October, funded by the Municipality of Castelfiorentino.<\/span><\/p>\n

In February 2024, for our members, we organized, in collaboration with the Misericordia of Castelfiorentino, a BLS-D and first aid course in hiking activities.<\/span><\/p>\n

In February 2026, we purchased a \u201cCascade Tandem Hiking Cart,\u201d a new-generation single-wheel off-road wheelchair that allows easier access to any type of terrain, even the roughest, allowing people of reduced weight and height, especially children with certain specific motor disabilities, to participate in our activities.<\/span><\/p>\n

All this has been possible thanks to the contribution of public and private bodies but above all of individual citizens, many of whom walk with us.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n
