From Pienza to Monticchiello and back, through ancient paths, such as the "Barlettaia" path, which takes its name from the producers of the "barlette", the small wooden barrels that pilgrims used to supply water, and the "Milk di Luna ”, the road of walkers and poets, through hills and biancane, from which the road probably takes its name.

But not only that, the famous hills with cypresses and farmhouses that seem to come out of the hands of a painter, fairytale landscapes that have enchanted among other directors such as Ridley Scott for his famous film "The Gladiator", ancient parish churches, churches and then Pienza, the ideal city of the Renaissance, and Monticchiello, an ancient medieval village, both of a unique charm.

A fairytale excursion in which we will have the opportunity to find all the historical, artistic and environmental peculiarities of the Val d'Orcia, of such beauty as to deserve its inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage list.

The exact meeting place, which will coincide with the start of the activity, will be outdoors and will be communicated exclusively to the participants.

for experienced hikers EE (ring route; length about 16.50 km; positive / negative difference in height about 610 meters);

Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, car sharing is NOT expected and not recommended among the participants not living together in the activity.

THE PRICE INCLUDES:
Organization and coordination of activities; assistance with an environmental hiking guide pursuant to LR 86/2016 and subsequent amendments. The Guides are in possession of the civil liability insurance required by law. Participants in the excursions are NOT covered by personal accident insurance.

THE FEE DOES NOT INCLUDE:
Transfer costs, meals and anything else not explicitly mentioned in the program.

What you need for excursions:

Compulsory equipment:
Preferably high trekking shoes, backpack, water (at least 2 liters), packed lunch, hat, any clothing for rain (waterproof jacket, backpack cover).

Recommended equipment:
Sunscreen and camera.

We ask all participants to limit the use of disposable material and to bring a glass. In fact we generally offer coffee or other drinks but we have decided not to bring more shot glasses / glasses and spoons.
We do not want to teach anyone anything, but we feel a duty, for those like us who love nature, to try to behave in a more respectful way.

The organizers reserve the right to modify or cancel the excursion in case of risk and / or unforeseen situations for the participants.
