Excursion with a Christmas flavor to exchange greetings and to visit Iano and the Sanctuary of Pietrina.

We will find ourselves in the municipality of Montaione and we will reach, through comfortable paths, a truly suggestive place where historical interests, devotional motifs, environmental and landscape aspects that make it unique are concentrated: the Pietrina. We will discover the Sanctuary and what remains of the ancient castle, which stands on an impressive rocky area, the Masso del Becco cliff. A bare surface, a few tens of meters high, made up of quartzite outcrops and verrucano conglomerates, formed almost 250 million years ago. A natural wonder.

Breathtaking views of ancient settlements and wonderful passages from the famous observation point on the Masso del Becco.

On his return, always on the Christmas theme, the passage from the Cribs of Iano. Preparations that the local community traditionally displays outside their homes.

Organization and coordination of activities; assistance with an environmental hiking guide pursuant to LR 86/2016 and subsequent amendments. The Guides are in possession of the civil liability insurance required by law. Participants in the excursions are NOT covered by personal accident insurance.

Preferably high trekking shoes, backpack, water, any rain gear (waterproof jacket, backpack cover).

We ask all participants to limit the use of disposable material and to bring a glass. In fact we generally offer coffee or other drinks but we have decided not to bring more shot glasses / glasses and spoons.
We do not want to teach anyone anything, but we feel a duty, for those like us who love nature, to try to behave in a more respectful way.
