Magical “Burraie”

We start from the Sanctuary of Madonna del Sasso (S. Brigida – Pontassieve) and immediately we are affected by the atmosphere in which we find ourselves walking on a small path between the sandstone rocks, chestnut trees and the sun that gives us its warmth in this cool December morning . Even those who were a little tired after the way up, have easily forgotten it at the sight of the first “burraia”, little ancient jewel of the mountain.

On the way back we stop to enjoy the last warm sun of the day on a huge slab of sandstone where we can admire the majesty of the sanctuary.
